Hey people! Sun's out, and summer is on the horizon! We usually try to pick the song for Tunesday a little sooner than 5-ish pm on the day, but sometimes you hear a song playing somewhere, like what you're hearing, realise it's Tuesday and you haven't put up a Tunesday post yet, listen closely for one distinctive line, and google determinedly for the next 20-25 minutes, as many iterations of that line as possible without writing a new song, until finally you raise your arms above your head in pre-emptive celebratory triumph as you're pretty sure you've found it, but still haven't checked the link to the video to confirm. ...not that we're saying that's what happened today of course! ;) Let us know if you think it was worth it! Enjoy! (: Until next time... M-J

So when I say, 'something a little different for you this week', I really do mean it! Here I'm introducing you to an entertaining unofficial music video compiled from scenes in the first three films of the Once Upon a Time in China series (of which there are six overall, the first one, of course, being the best). Yeah, being a former Film Studies student, you can probably tell I love a good movie soundtrack from time to time. But I have other reasons for highlighting this particular tune at this time as well. I'll reveal my reasons for that later. Some of you, though, may be able to pick up the reference... Let's just say I'm not the only one who's shown a public appreciation for this theme song in the past week. EGS
Chello people! Tunesday is here again, and just like all of you, it's a beautiful day. (: As I have such immense love for both this song and artist, it was a hard choice between posting this as the Tunesday on my own website and here on the OM blog! Here at OrangeMouth our focus is Emotional and Mental Health; affirmation (or the lack thereof) can play such a large role in the state of emotional and mental health that it was only right that Mali Music's "Beautiful" became the OM Tuneday pick. The positive encouraging message, especially coming in the form of Mali Music's wonderfully smooth voice should put you in a good mood for the rest of the day (if not week). So until next time [and beyond of course], keep your head up, you're beautiful. (: M-J Today's tune is a song I discovered while watching a show potentially too embarrassing to mention here! Does anyone else pay attention to the background music to the point where they go and search for the song, or is that just me? Either way, Light & Dark by Kate Walsh is a gentle song, that feels like the beginning of spring, perhaps appropriately so based on the title alone.
Until next time... M-J |
